Nick Vadasz started off making small batches of pickles based on his Hungarian grandmother's family recipes while working as an art teacher in East London.

Such was the success of his pickles and ferments that he soon quit teaching to start pickling in earnest and he rapidly gained a reputation for high quality produce among many of London's elite chefs and restauranteurs.

After starting selling on a market stall, Nick faced the challenges of building up production to meet wholesale demand while maintaining the standards that saw his products awarded numerous Great Taste Awards.

We helped his business expand and grow, from helping manage bumpy peaks and troughs in cashflow to advising on strategic decisions at every phase of the company's growth as it expanded from a handful of employees.

The business supplied many of the booming gourmet food scene with pickles, from Shakeshack to Michelin starred chefs and needed to look at strategic options which balanced Nick's personal aims with those of the business.

With our assistance, Nick was able to secure a licensing deal with a larger manufacturer and has been able to partially exit the business, while his products now sit on the shelves of some of the UK's largest retailers including Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Coop.

Andy Treloar's life long love of motorbikes and engines has led him to finding, restoring, and reselling some strange vehicles - everything from 1980's Lamborghini's to two men hovercraft.

After a stint as a motorcycle dispatch rider he set up TTT as a bike garage in Bethnal Green 30 years ago.

Over the years his business expanded to incorporate new and used bike sales, clothing and accessories and became a key retailer of the Royal Enfield and Mutt brands while continuing to provide full mechanical and MOT services to a large, loyal customer base.

Needing to finance a major expansion and upgrade the accounting function within the business, Andy sought our advice on the restructuring of the business and its property assets, and to help find funding options. Our efforts enabled TTT to borrow at low long term rates while evolving to become a multi-site operation with improved IT and accounting systems.

While Andy can still be found with a socket set in his hands, or buying old Go Karts on Ebay, TTT has grown significantly with the purchase of a new site in Suffolk and the establishment of its new shop and workshop in London.

Byron Knight was the manager of a successful cocktail bar in London when he had the idea of opening his own place. He was introduced to Logan Plant, who was interested in setting up a brewery. What would emerge would be two businesses - Pit Bar'n'Q, a Texas style BBQ restaurant in Hackney's De Beauvoir Town, which housed the first Beavertown Brewery in its basement.

We were commissioned by Byron and Logan to write the initial business plans for both businesses and helped the pair raise seed funding, a bank loan and establish their companies.

Little did we know the astronomical success Beavertown would go on to, but we're proud to have helped at the birth of the company, and that they ignored our suggestion to maybe change the name!

Established by France-based entrepreneur Ian Willingham, Raw Cheese Power has had to radically change its business model in the wake of Brexit. We helped Raw Cheese Power raise equity and produced a business plan which enabled them to greatly expand their retail operations and restructure the business.
