Iain Campbell

CEO & Founder

Iain qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working at Ernst & Young and Schroders.

He went on to work as a consultant, Programme and Project Manager on a number of business transformation, data and regulatory projects where his clients included HSBC, RBS, Barclays, Bupa and SocGen among others. An LSE graduate, Iain holds PRINCE 2 and Agile Project Management qualifications.

Before founding Munro he was a programme manager at Lombard Risk and Global Head of Professional Services at b-next AG, a leading trade surveillance and compliance software provider.

Away from his "day job" Iain advised and helped set up numerous companies, from record labels and breweries to software development and investment firms, before deciding to take the plunge and establish his own business.

Iain's investigations into dark money in UK politics have led to appearances on Newsnight and other media and he regularly contributes to financial investigations for media organisations including the BBC and national newspapers.

John Conn
CTO

John is a specialist in Big Data, having worked with vast data sets throughout his career as a public sector consultant and technical architect delivering transformational change to a variety of clients including the Home Office, the Youth Justice Board and several local authorities.

A graduate of Queens College Belfast and Salford University, John holds BCS, Agile and PRINCE 2 qualifications in Project Management and Business Analysis.

Kat McKenzie

Kat began her career at Red Bull where she rose to become Sports & Events marketing manager responsible for delivering massively successful events such as the Red Bull Air Race and was responsible for developing the BMX Slopestyle event. Kat was also responsible for the selection, recruitment, relationship management and retention of athletes sponsored by the brand.

Establishing her own brand consultancy and marketing company in 2009, Kat began an ongoing relationship with Vans, rolling out their Downtown Showdown events across Europe and the Middle East and establishing and managing the hugely successful House of Vans venue in London.

An expert in brand innovation, Kat has designed and delivered award winning consumer marketing campaigns and large scale brand and digital experiences for a variety of other youth lifestyle businesses and brands.

Robin Thompson

Professor Thompson has been one of the pre-eminent statisticians of the last 40 years, developing many new techniques and algorithms which have redefined agricultural statistics and led to globally important improvements in crop and livestock yields.

In 1971, while a doctoral student at the University of Edinburgh, Dr Thompson and his colleague Desmond Patterson published the framework for Residual Maximum Likelihood (REML) which continues to underpin many of today's statistical analytical packages.

In the 1990's Dr Thompson would refine his approach to provide the Average Information REML (AS-REML) which today remains the primary basis for genetic statistical software.

Dr Thompson has held the roles ofHead of Genetics and Biometry for The Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh; Head of Biomathematics at Rothamsted Research; and Professorial Research Fellow at Queen Mary College. He has also received honorary doctorates from the University of Wollongong in 2022, University of Edinburgh in 2018 and the University Politecnica de Valencia in Spain in 2002.
